I have always loved solving problems and learning how things work. Oboe repair is a passion I find fun, and very rewarding. I love playing “detective” to find the reason an oboe is not working properly, but the real reward is returning the oboe to a client and hearing how excited they are when it works even better than they remember.
Carlos Coelho, master oboe repairman, was my first mentor. Shortly thereafter I traveled to the Loree Shop in Paris, where I spent a week honing my skills in oboe making and repair. I am one of the only technicians in Florida who specializes in oboe repair. Please contact me if your instrument needs a little TLC! Click here for my current pricing guide. (Also, check out the time elapsed video below of me putting the keys back on the upper joint of a Loree oboe.)
